Mobile app from IT Park resident helps review difficult topics before exams
An IT Park resident has launched an educational platform called "Kursnova" for students in grades 5–9. The smartphone app brings together short video lessons and practice modules that help students calmly master challenging topics and prepare for exams.
The main period for the Basic State Exam (OGE) began today, a highly stressful time for children. Their future depends on exam results and the fear of making mistakes often prevents them from studying calmly. With Kursnova, students can ask questions and make mistakes without embarrassment: an built-in AI assistant offers guidance on corrections and the system does not assign grades but simply indicates what needs to be reviewed.
The app features over 27,000 practice modules and videos. Each lesson lasts up to 5 minutes, is rich in visualizations, and includes full-fledged experiments for physics and chemistry. Students choose their grade and topic, watch a short video, and immediately reinforce their knowledge through practice exercises. If something remains unclear, the video can be rewatched. The personal profile shows which topics have been completed, where the most mistakes were made and what needs further review. This transforms preparation from chaotic cramming into a clear weekly plan.
The app is always at hand: on the go, before practice, or in a queue, students can tackle one specific topic instead of putting everything off until late at night. This helps children develop a habit of regular study, not just the night before an exam. A convenient search function allows them to find any topic by keywords, such as "fractions" or "word analysis."
Currently, the app offers programs for grades 5–9, OGE preparation in mathematics and Russian, as well as two additional courses — on financial literacy and neural networks.
