Ministry of Education to control pupils by means of cameras

Russian Minister of Education and Science Dmitry Lavrov informed that the Unified State Exam will be controlled by cameras in 2014. Public observers and parents will be able to see live broadcast of the exam. Dmitry Lavrov noted that it is a compulsory measure now.
Earlier Head of Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Education and Science Sergey Kravtsov said that places where exams are held will be equipped with metal detection arches to take mobiles from pupils as they cannot use them during the exam.
In 2014 all educational institutions will be connected to the unified federal information system, where all information about exams, regional and federal school competitions will be stored. Also results of the Unified State Exam will be acceptable by higher educational institutions and secondary specialized colleges within four years.
Students at Gymnasium No. 75 in Kazan took part in an educational session under the "Digital Literacy" project, focusing on topics such as "Pet Protection in the Digital World" and "Harmful tips on Digital Security", which is implemented in support of the national project “Data Economy”.
