International forum “Intellectual property and economy of Russian regions” with participation of Valentina Matvienko to be held at Kazan IT-park on November 7-8

International forum “Intellectual property and economy of Russian regions” will be held at Kazan IT-park on November 7-8. Best specialists from Russia, CIS countries and far abroad will take part in the event.
The forum officially opens on November 7 at 2 p.m. Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko and Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin will take part in the opening ceremony.
The forum aims to study issues connected with commercialization, management and protection of results of research and technical activity of Tatarstan and Russian organisations and enterprises, strategic changes in economy of Russian regions after joining the WTO, best practices in the sphere of management of results of intellectual activity and development of measures on improving legislative framework on efficient use of these results in innovative activity of regions, enterprises and organisations.

About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.
To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.
The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.
Mobile Telecommunication Systems Company reported on its activities in Tatarstan for the year 2025 during a weekly meeting at Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization.
Director of the MTS branch in Tatarstan Marat Kabanov outlined key areas of work in 2025 and the achieved results.
On March 27, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvyn held a meeting with Director General of "Info-Obereg" Vladimir Dorofeev.
Such meetings between the minister and representatives of the IT community are held on Fridays in an open dialogue format. These personal meetings provide an opportunity for companies to share their experiences, discuss their projects and seek support.
