On January 15, near the village of Tsarevo in the Pestrechinsky region of the republic, in the direction of Tyulyachi-Novaya Tura, an incident occurred related to damage to the main fiber-optic communication cable (FOCL). Emergency crews quickly arrived at the accident scene to carry out repairs. The damage was recorded on the territory of Tatarstan, but it is worth noting that the problems affected several regions of the Russian Federation at once.
According to Federal Supervision Agency for Information Technologies and Communications, problems are registed in 21 entities of the country. According to the latest data, the cable was damaged as a result of excavation work by a third-party organization. This was reported by the press service of the Rostelecom company. The estimated time for completion of restoration work is set at 9:00 p.m. Moscow time.
It is important to emphasize that there is no complete loss of communication, since the traffic has been redirected to backup lines.
