Federal IT forum “Informatization as an incentive for Russian regions development” starts in IT park

Chairman of the Commission on developing information society of the Federation Council Ruslan Gattarov, Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov, Fujitsu Director General for Russia and CIS Vitaly Friedland, Microsoft President in Russia Nikolay Pryanishnikov, CEO of IT cluster in Skolkovo Igor Bogachev, and Director of High Technology Park “IT park” Anton Grachev took part in the first plenary session of “Informatization as a driver of country’s economic growth and increase of life quality in regions”. The moderator of the discussion was Deputy Chief Editor of “Vedomosti” newspaper Aleksandr Gubsky.
One of main missions of the forum is organisation of meetings of federal authorities, administration of Russian regions, and heads of big IT companies for discussing ways and priority areas of informatization of Russian regions at an independent platform, and exchanging best practices in IT projects implementation in social spheres.
Ruslan Gattarov focused on development of Electronic Government, an important project for Russia. He mentioned Tatarstan as a region that is quite successful in this issue.
Roman Shaikhutdinov welcomed the audience and said it is the first regional forum of this kind. It speaks about the increasing role of regional informatization in country’s management and interaction between citizens and regions.
Roman Shaikhutdinov noted the importance of “Public control”, electronic education and health care systems.
The Minister believes that informatization is the most efficient way of rendering state services, and providing conditions for comfortable mobile client-oriented product. Successful informatization is characterized by efficient ICT infrastructure, availability of client-oriented resources, and high-quality interdepartmental interaction, he said.

About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.
To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.
The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.
Mobile Telecommunication Systems Company reported on its activities in Tatarstan for the year 2025 during a weekly meeting at Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization.
Director of the MTS branch in Tatarstan Marat Kabanov outlined key areas of work in 2025 and the achieved results.
On March 27, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvyn held a meeting with Director General of "Info-Obereg" Vladimir Dorofeev.
Such meetings between the minister and representatives of the IT community are held on Fridays in an open dialogue format. These personal meetings provide an opportunity for companies to share their experiences, discuss their projects and seek support.
