Federal IT forum “Informatization as impetus for development of Russian regions” to be held on October 18 in IT park

Informatization of society and active adoption of e-government principles are priority tasks of development of Russian regions. Informatization of state services, education, medicine and other social and economic spheres is a major project that requires big investments, and at the same time it can increase region’s competitiveness and quality of life.

The state programme “Information society” includes implementation of measures funded by the federal budget. However, informatization of society requires certain development level of a region, including infrastructure and human resources.

Are Russian regions ready for global IT projects? What sectors have less information support today and do they need information technologies? What projects have been successfully realized? How to tackle with infrastructure and staff issues to create information society?

Representatives of Russian Ministry of Communication and Mass Media, Ministry of Regional Development, federal ministries and agencies responsible for IT development in their regions, representatives of Russian regions, top managers of IT companies, developers of projects for state sector, IT directors of federal and regions companies, directors of public organisations, financial, educational and scientific institutions, experts and leading analysts will take part in the forum.
