Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communication congratulates veterans on the International Day of Older Persons

The International Day of Older Persons was celebrated at Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communication on October 1.
The Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov opened the event:
“This holiday is a tribute to elderly people for their contribution to our life, and their mentorship. Each of us made contribution to development of information and communication industry. Due to your work Tatarstan is today the most developed region in Russia in terms of telecommunications and informatization. Dear veterans, I would like to wish you strong health, courage, perfect mood, and clear sky. Let younger generation make you happy. Do not stop, and move on! I congratulate you on the holiday!”
The Minister invited veterans to take part in Google educational project to improve computer skills on October 8 where users will learn about useful Internet technologies and web safety, and teachers will get familiar with Russian and foreign educational programmes.

About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.
To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.
The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.
Mobile Telecommunication Systems Company reported on its activities in Tatarstan for the year 2025 during a weekly meeting at Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization.
Director of the MTS branch in Tatarstan Marat Kabanov outlined key areas of work in 2025 and the achieved results.
On March 27, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvyn held a meeting with Director General of "Info-Obereg" Vladimir Dorofeev.
Such meetings between the minister and representatives of the IT community are held on Fridays in an open dialogue format. These personal meetings provide an opportunity for companies to share their experiences, discuss their projects and seek support.
