New Year's comedies and melodramas: what Tatarstan residents watched during the holidays

Analysts of the KION online cinema of the MTS digital ecosystem analyzed the interests of Tatarstan residents during the holidays from December 31 to January 8 and informed what films they watched celebrating the new year 2024.

The preferences of the residents of the republic in the pre-New Year period and the first days of 2024 - December 31 and January 2 and during the Christmas period were different. Thus, during the first days of the New Year holidays, Tatarstan residents preferred watching television and comedy films, while during the Christmas period, family films and melodramas became the leaders in viewing. Traditionally, TV channels broadcast favorite New Year's films, music shows and New Year's lights during holidays. In general, more often than others, Russians preferred the TV channels Russia 1, Channel One, TNT, STS, St. Petersburg - Channel 5.
