On December 22, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications Ayrat Khayrullin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov and Director of Technopark in the sphere of high technologies «IT Park» Ruslan Vlasov took part in the ceremony of launching the Mendeleev Valley Center for Children and Youth Competencies in Mendeleevsk.
The Mendeleev Valley Center for Children and Youth Competencies is a modern space for children and teenagers in the areas of Industry 4.0, engineering and scientific creativity, IT and creative technologies.
A branch of the Kazan IT Park also began operating on the basis of the center.
Instead of the usual clubs and sections, modern laboratories for auto modeling, aircraft modeling, ship modeling, a scientific laboratory for chemistry and hydroponics, a virtual reality laboratory, a taste laboratory, drone racing, robotics, a recording studio, an animation studio, a studio for neuro-gymnastics, a center of attraction for working with children's public associations, sensory room will operate in the Centre. A modern educational platform will open new opportunities for the youth of the Mendeleevsk region, increase motivation to study new technologies and allow them to develop in-demand professional competencies from school. In addition, the Center will provide training for gifted children for Olympiads and competitions at the Small Academy of Sciences. A corresponding agreement was concluded between Mendeleev Valley with the high-tech technopark IT Park of Kazan and with the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan.
