Tatarstan received an award for services to development in the AI ethics at the “Artificial Intelligence Ethics Forum: Generation GPT. Red lines”.
Head of the Russian President’s Administration for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies and Communication Infrastructure Tatyana Matveeva and the Chairman of the commission for the implementation of the code of ethics in the field of AI Andrey Neznamov handed in the award to the Commissioner for Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Tatarstan Bulat Zamaliev.
Tatarstan became the first region in Russia to introduce the post of Commissioner for AI technologies at the end of 2019, and also registered Russia’s first regulatory legal act in the field of AI. The central theme of the forum was the discussion of the development of artificial intelligence through the introduction of efficient legislative regulation, which will “close” all the negative consequences that the technology potentially carries, but will not become an obstacle to the development of AI. The forum brought together authoritative scientists, developers of applied AI solutions, representatives of education, healthcare, culture and art, as well as human rights activists and experts on a wide range of issues of sustainable development of society.
