Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov congratulates programmers on their professional holiday

Dear colleagues and friends! Let me congratulate you on your professional holiday – the Programmer’s day! You represent a new profession, the future of our country. It is symbolic for Tatarstan that is has officially been celebrated since 2009, when the first high technology park was built in the republic.

The Order No. 1034 on establishing new holiday - the Programmer’s day prepared by Russian Ministry of Communication and Mass Media was signed by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in September 2009.

Today IT industry is an important growing point of country’s economy. The Innopolis city will become the IT capital to attract investments and highly skilled specialists. The first construction stage will be finished by 2015. It will be the first city on the territory of the former Soviet Union built using state-of-the-art technologies.

Dear programmers, you have wonderful prospects. You are smart, young, talented, and our country needs you. I wish you to deal with interesting creative tasks, inspiration and new ideas. I also wish health to you and your families!
