Tatarstan is an attractive region for IT companies actively hiring mobile developers, despite the falling demand for this stack in Russia

One in two mobile developers has offices in Kazan or Innopolis. According to a study by Technocracy, in Russia as a whole, demand for mobile developers has declined by 24 percent over the past 12 months.

The leaders among the companies-employers are four Russian bigtech: Tinkoff, VK, Sber and Yandex.

This generally corresponds to the general trend among business areas that need mobile developers: in the top sectors-employers «Information Technologies» and «Finance».

The Top 10 companies have offices in Kazan, including Tinkoff, SBER, Yandex, Aston and VK, which have recently opened a workspace in Bashir Rameev IT Park. Voting is carried out under the Programme of elimination of digital inequality in accordance with the goals of the national project «Digital Economy of the Russian Federation». For two years of implementation of the federal programme in 2022-2023, it is planned to install 99 base stations. At present, equipment has been installed in 44 settlements of the republic, by the end of the year 55 more base stations will be installed.

In the commentary, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications Ayrat Khayrullin said about the importance of training, as well as about the attractiveness of Tatarstan for IT specialists: “The future of Tatarstan is linked with the current generation, and personnel training is what is important in our work right now. The difficult situation in the country’s IT market over the last 18 months has significantly changed the trends in demand and supply for IT specialists. In these conditions the republic remains a stable place for employment of specialists, and they have the opportunity to prove themselves on the best sides”.
