Tattelecom, the largest wire telecommunications operator in Tatarstan, is 134 years old

The story of the operator begins on November 27 (15), 1888, when the Kazan City Telephone Network officially opened. On April 1, 1998 based on the separate structural subdivision of the Ministry of Communications of Tatarstan «Kazan Intercity Telephone and Telegraph station», the State unitary enterprise «Telecommunications Department «Tattelecom» was created. Starting with 70 subscribers of the telephone network, today the company covers almost 4 million residents of the republic and has a stable leading position in the market of telecommunication services. Over the past 134 years, 44 branches of the company, which employ almost 4,000 employees of various specialties and branches, have started working in all administrative centers of Tatarstan. The operator provides subscribers with the whole complex of communication services: local and zonal telephone communication, Internet access, cable and interactive digital television, mobile communication. The Tattelecom actively participates in digitalization of the main spheres of life of the society, provides communication to the remote regions of the republic and participates in creating a safe environment throughout Tatarstan.
