The government approves a new list of domestic applications for pre-installation

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, which comes into force from January 1, 2023 and approves the list of mobile applications and programmes for mandatory pre-installation on smartphones, tablets, PCs, candy-bar phones and Smart-TVs.
Thus, Yandex was defined as the search engine for pre-installation, among other applications for smartphones and tablets are Yandex.Browser, Yandex.Maps, 2GIS, Yandex.Disk, Mail.ru, ICQ, Marusya voice assistant, Mail.ru News, OK Life, VKontakte social networks, Odnoklassniki, Mir Pay payment system, State Services Portal, MyOffice Documents, Kaspersky Lab antivirus and LitRes book service.
