Governor of Kaliningrad region Nikolay Tsukanov visits Kazan IT park

On July 6 during his official visit to Kazan Governor of Kaliningrad region Nikolay Tsukanov visited IT park that was acknowledged the best technopark in Russia. He was met by Tatarstan Minister of information and communication Roman Shaikhutdinov and IT park Director Anton Grachev.
Nikolay Tsukanov was told about projects “Speakphone” and “Sem’ paydei”, IT champion contest and state information system “Public control”. Nikolay Tsukanov noted high level of infrastructure created in Kazan IT park.
The innovative cluster is now being created in Kalinigrad. The main object will be IT park “Kalinigrad”.
Nikolay Tsukanov said: “Government of Kalinigrad region pays special attention to implementation of projects aimed at providing favourable conditions for innovative activity. We will take into consideration your best practices and create new IT park that will become an international innovative centre.”

About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.
To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.
The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.
