Roman Shaikhutdinov congratulates finalists of Google Science Fair 2013

Kazan pupils, Bekzhan Dzhumakov and Bulat Karimov, finalists of the international scientific competition, were honoured in Moscow Google office on July 3. They presented one of 90 ideas that may change the world. Tatarstan Minister of information and communication Roman Shaikhutdinov took part in the event.

«Google Science Fair» is a scientific competition for teenagers aged 13-18. 90 regional finalists, 30 from North and South America, 30-from Asia-Pacific Region, and 30 from the Middle East and Africa were chosen in June. Finalists will go to Google headquarters in California to take part in final conference. Winners will get 50 thousand dollars to continue their research and go on 10-day trip to Galapagos Islands with national geographic expedition.

Bekzhan Dzhumakov and Bulat Karimov developed new system for planting greenery on roofs to improve people’s health, save money they spend for medicines, and make Kazan more beautiful. They also developed an automated sprinkler system to save water discharge.
