First business-class post office opens in Kazan

On July 01 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director General of FSUE Russian Post Dmitry Strashnov, Tatarstan Vice-Premier – Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov took part in the opening ceremony of the reconstructed post office No. 420000 situated on Kremlevskaya street.
The business-class post office is the first one in Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov became the first customer of the post office. Tatarstan President sent a postal card to Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov to inform that the post office No. 420000 was opened and started functioning.
Then, Rustam Minnikhanov, Dmitry Strashnov and Roman Shaikhutdinov symbolically cancelled a postage stamp, issued by FSUE Russian Post especially for the 27th World Summer Universiade 2013.
Speaking at the ceremony, Tatarstan President thanked the Russian Post leadership and pointed out partnership relations between Tatarstan and the company. “1,1 thousand post offices are currently functioning in Tatarstan. We are working hard within the framework of the Universiade. Post offices were opened in new airport complex and stadium. We have even more ambitious plans,” Tatarstan President said, apparently having in mind the plans of the Russian post to open the international post exchange center in Kazan.
Dmitry Strashnov, in his turn, said that Tatarstan was one of the priority regions for the Russian Post and the company had achieved good business-results in Tatarstan. He expressed his hope that the projects implemented by the company in cooperation with Tatarstan Government would be successful.

About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.

The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.

Director of the MTS branch in Tatarstan Marat Kabanov outlined key areas of work in 2025 and the achieved results.
On March 27, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvyn held a meeting with Director General of "Info-Obereg" Vladimir Dorofeev.
Such meetings between the minister and representatives of the IT community are held on Fridays in an open dialogue format. These personal meetings provide an opportunity for companies to share their experiences, discuss their projects and seek support.
