In Tatarstan, personnel for the digital economy starts to be trained from school

At the «Lesson of Digit» schoolchildren of grades 1-11 from schools of Tatarstan discuss pressing IT topics: digitalization of economic sectors, digital professions, counteracting cyberbullying and others. Officials of the republic and heads of large IT companies conduct classes for schoolchildren.

“In 2022, during the Year of Digitalization, declared by the Decree of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, a "Lesson of Digit" is held on a monthly basis for schoolchildren of all ages. It is necessary and important to develop and maintain interest in informatics and digital technologies not only in IT classes with in-depth study of the subject, but also among all schoolchildren of the republic”, Head of the IT Community Development Sector of Ministry of Digital Development Marianna Karmanova said.

The regional project is aimed at developing key competencies of the digital economy among schoolchildren, early career guidance of children in information technology.
