IT&Security Forum 2013 opens in Kazan

On June 13 Minister of information and communication Roman Shaikhutdinov and Director General of ICL KPO Viktor Dyachkov opened one of the biggest IT conferences IT&Security Forum 2013 in Kazan.
“I’m glad to welcome you at IT&Security Forum that is held for the 7th time. IT sector is a very important growing point of Russia’s economy. In 2012 the share of IT industry in Russian GDP made 1,2 per cent, in Tatarstan GRP – 3 per cent. I want participants of the event to pay attention to an interesting federal project “Innopolis”. Tatarstan makes considerable contribution to development of Russian IT industry. Special economic zone “Innopolis” and IT University under construction are the first in Russia,” Roman Shaikhutdinov said.
Roman Shaikhutdinov thanked Viktor Dyachkov for efforts taken on developing IT industry in Russia and Tatarstan and wished participants of the forum fruitful work.
This year 600 people will take part in the event. Among them are IT executives, directors of information security services, leading experts, chief engineers, top managers.

About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.
To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.
The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.
Mobile Telecommunication Systems Company reported on its activities in Tatarstan for the year 2025 during a weekly meeting at Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization.
Director of the MTS branch in Tatarstan Marat Kabanov outlined key areas of work in 2025 and the achieved results.
On March 27, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvyn held a meeting with Director General of "Info-Obereg" Vladimir Dorofeev.
Such meetings between the minister and representatives of the IT community are held on Fridays in an open dialogue format. These personal meetings provide an opportunity for companies to share their experiences, discuss their projects and seek support.
