Digital Economy national programme includes three federal projects

Digital Economy national programme is supplemented by three federal projects. Their indicators are synchronized with Russian social and economic development initiatives.

New federal projects in the national programme are:

«Digital services and online services»

«Development of human resources in the IT industry»

«Internet access through satellite communications development»

By 2024, it is planned to digitize public services that are in greatest demand among citizens. As many as 60 per cent of public services will be available online.

For this, "digital departments" will be created in more than 100 universities, more than 610 thousand people will be able to unlearn them.

The training of high school and university students will help to overcome the shortage of IT personnel. By 2024, as many as 240,000 schoolchildren will be able to learn programming languages in free two-year courses. Students will have the opportunity to obtain additional qualifications in the IT-profile. For this purpose «digital departments» will be established in more than 100 universities, more than 610 thousand people will be able to study there.

The Internet will become more accessible throughout Russia. In 2024, providers will provide Internet to all new buildings. As many as 80 per cent of federal roads will have a LTE network, and settlements with more than two thousand people will be fully connected to the Internet.

The current content of the Digital Economy national programme was approved by the Presidium of the Council under Russian President on Strategic Development and National Projects. The new federal projects include five initiatives for the socio-economic development of Russia, which were defined by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin: online public services, a digital citizen profile, e-document management, Internet access and IT training.
