More than 200 thousand Tatarstan pupils took part in first round of contest “IT champion”

At a republican meeting at Tatarstan Government House chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov Minister of information and communication Roman Shaikhutdinov said that unprecedented number of pupils took part in the first round of contest “IT champion”.
The first round of the contest was held from March 1 to May 24. 216 thousand 743 pupils took part in it. Three leaders will be chosen in each municipality tonight.
Roman Shaikhutdinov continued that by results of the Russian contest of regional and municipal informatization the republican contest “IT champion” is in top three in nomination “Promotion of electronic government services”. The contest is held under the auspices of Russian Presidential Administration. The final will be held on May 30.
To the point, idea of the contest is that pupils help adults to register their account and make payments on the portal of state services. Pupils receive scores for the number of operations. Then they can exchange it for prizes and souvenirs.
On December 11, Moscow hosted this year's important IT events: the awards ceremony for the winners of the "Sprint to the Future - Code of Success!" award and the Sprint 2.0 Accelerator Demo Day.
In accordance with the Procedure for providing subsidies from the budget of Tatarstan in 2025 to telecom operators to reimburse costs associated with providing mobile radiotelephone services on sections of the M-12 and M-7 highways located in Tatarstan, approved by Resolution No. 1032 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan dated 02.12.2025 (hereinafter referred to as the Procedure) and Order No. p/334 of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications dated 10.12.2025, the deadlines for submitting applications for subsidies from the budget of the republic have been established.
Digital Transformation Centre of Tatarstan reported that in 2025, Tatarstan completed a digital infrastructure upgrade, which affected server capacity, government employee workplaces, email services and video surveillance.
