The Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting TV tower in Kazan to turn on festive lighting on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of television broadcasting in Russia and the International Day of the Elderly

On October 1, national television broadcasting celebrates its 90th anniversary. On that day in 1931, the first experimental regular transmissions of moving images began.

Today, Russian television has become all-inclusive and digital. The Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network, which unites regional radio and television broadcasting centres throughout the country, created the world’s largest digital television network of 5,040 broadcasting stations, 87 of which are located in Tatarstan.

On October 1, the International Day of the Elderly is celebrated.

On October 1, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in honor of these landmark events Tatarstan branch of the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting will turn on festive lighting at the Kazan TV Tower.
