Lyceum of the Yandex Academy opens recruitment for the new academic year
The Lyceum of the Yandex Academy will operate in 12 cities of Tatarstan - Aznakaevo, Almetyevsk, Bugulma, Yelabuga, Zelenodolsk, Innopolis, Kazan, Mamadysh, Mendeleevsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Chistopol, and 3 rural settlements – Alekseevskoe, Rybnaya Sloboda urban-type settlements and Tanayka village. The Lyceum will operate at 27 venues.
The project was launched with the support of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications and Ministry of Education and Science of the republic.
During five years of the project's existence, as many as 384 schoolchildren have completed the course. The training programme developed by Yandex experts lasts two years. In the first year, students learn the basics of Python, a programming language that is in demand both in IT companies and in the scientific community. The second course is on industrial programming. Schoolchildren experience in creative projects: developing web applications, chat bots and user interfaces. Experienced teachers who have completed advanced training courses at Yandex, train the students.
