Meeting with communication providers concerning preparation for World summer Universiade 2013 held at Tatarstan Ministry of information and communication

Tatarstan Minister of information and communication Roman Shaikhutdinov held meeting concerning readiness of information and communication infrastructure of Kazan communication providers for international student games.
Representatives of OAO “MTS”, OAO “Vympelcom”, OAO “Megafon”, ZAO “NSS”, ZAO “SMARTS”, Universiade Directorate and Federal Supervision Agency for Information Technologies and Communications took part in the meeting.
“60 days are left till the start of international competitions. It is especially important to provide continuous communication services at the main stadium where opening and closing ceremonies will be held. I ask you to estimate network load and take measures on providing high-quality mobile communication,” Roman Shaikhutdinov stressed.
Service providers said that they carry out work on preparation of infrastructure for forthcoming Games.

In accordance with the Procedure for providing subsidies from the budget of Tatarstan in 2025 to telecom operators to reimburse costs associated with providing mobile radiotelephone services on sections of the M-12 and M-7 highways located in Tatarstan, approved by Resolution No. 1032 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan dated 02.12.2025 (hereinafter referred to as the Procedure) and Order No. p/334 of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications dated 10.12.2025, the deadlines for submitting applications for subsidies from the budget of the republic have been established.
Digital Transformation Centre of Tatarstan reported that in 2025, Tatarstan completed a digital infrastructure upgrade, which affected server capacity, government employee workplaces, email services and video surveillance.
