Residents to be able to store and submit e-documents through a mobile application

Russian Ministry of Digital Development informs that in June 2021, it is planned to launch a new GosDoki mobile application for storing and submitting personal documents in digital form. The application will start working in test mode.

Today, many citizens store digital copies of their documents - passport, driver's license, vehicle registration certificate, registry office certificates and other documents - in e-mail, cloud storage or on smartphones in the form of photographs.

It is not safe, documents are not updated automatically, they cannot be verified and do not have legal significance.

The GosDoki mobile application will become a convenient and, above all, a safe way for e-storage of documents. It will be possible to use the application and provide documents in the form of a QR code with an account on the State Services Portal. At the same time, digital document duplicates in the GosDoki will always be relevant.

The project is implemented under the Digital Economy national programme. The development cost of a mobile application will be up to 50 million roubles.
