Digital TV broadcasting launched in nine municipal regions of Tatarstan

Free digital TV broadcasting was launched in nine municipal regions of Tatarstan. On April 4 Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov and Deputy Director General on management for state programmes and capital construction of “Russian television and radio broadcasting network” Boris Terebilenko launched digital TV broadcasting at TV centre in Bilyarsk (Alekseevsky region, Tatarstan).
Roman Shaikhutdinov informed: “More than 50 per cent of Tatarstan population can watch TV programmes in digital format. Tatarstan was the first region to launch digital TV broadcasting in DVB-T2 format in Kazan. On December 8 Rustam Minnikhanov launched TV broadcasting at Shemordan TV centre, on March 15 – in Naberezhnye Chelny.”

Students at Gymnasium No. 75 in Kazan took part in an educational session under the "Digital Literacy" project, focusing on topics such as "Pet Protection in the Digital World" and "Harmful tips on Digital Security", which is implemented in support of the national project “Data Economy”.
