Participants of video bridge “Moscow-Tatarstan: issues of electronic document management and electronic democracy” discussed prospects of electronic government in Russia.
Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Anisa Gainullina, Chairman of Commission for information society development of the Federation Council Ruslan Gattarov, First Deputy Chairman of State Duma Committee for information policy, information technologies and communication Vadim Dengin, Director of the Institute of electronic state Sergei Yurkevich participated in discussion.
Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Anisa Gainullina opened the event. She noted that Tatarstan was the first region to launch electronic government. Unified electronic document management system was introduced in 2005. Major work on creating infrastructure for rendering state services in electronic format was started in Tatarstan in 2009. In particular, the portal of stat services uslugi.tatarstan.ru, and self-service terminals “infomats” were launched.

About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.
To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.
The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.
