Young professionals to compete in 36 IT competences at WorldSkills Regional Championship 2020-2021
On November 18, an opening ceremony of the first round of the Regional championship «Young professionals» (Worldskills Russia) started at several venues: the engineering residential school of Kazan National Research Technical University named after A. N. Tupolev – KAI and International Competence Centre – the Kazan Technical College of Information Technologies and Communications in Tatarstan.
Deputy Minister of Digitalization Albert Yakovlev took part in the opening ceremony held at the engineering residential school of Kazan National Research Technical University. He welcomed the participants of the championship and wished them good luck in the upcoming competitions.
This year the Regional Championship will be held in 143 WorldSkills competencies and 95 WorldSkills Juniors competencies in the republic. There are 36 competencies in the IT area among them:
• Development of virtual and augmented reality;
• Internet of Things;
• Mobile robotics;
• Web design and development;
• Cloud technologies;
• 3D modeling of computer games;
• Information cable networks, etc.
The winners of the regional championship will be included into the Tatarstan national team and will represent the republic at the semi-finals and the finals of the National Championship «Young Professionals» (Worldskills Russia) 2021.
