Ayrat Khayrullin: As many as 447,000 schoolchildren of Tatarstan to be provided with high-speed Internet services

Tatarstan is currently completing an unprecedented nationwide programme.

Under the Digital Economy project and on the personal instruction of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, by the beginning of the new academic year, all schools, namely 1,680 educational institutions, will be connected to high-speed Internet. On August 21, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ayrat Khayrullin personally examined the work progress.

Schools will be connected to the Internet by new FOLC technologies (fibre-optic links) instead of the outdated ADSL technology. «Optics» will provide educational institutions with quality and uninterrupted Internet speed not less than 100 Mbit/s.
