Grant contest on the establishment of world-class research centres launched

On March 23, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation informed about the start of the competitive selection for grants for the establishment and development of world-class research centres.

The programme for the establishment of these centres is a part of the Science national project. By the end of 2023, as many as 11 such centres should be established in Russia.

The competitive selection of 2020 envisages the grant allocations in the form of subsidies for the establishment of three centres that carry out research and development on the priorities of scientific and technological development.

The priority areas for the establishment of new centres are: digital technologies and artificial intelligence, robotic systems, personalized medicine, technologies to counter cyber threats, intelligent transport and telecommunication systems, etc.
