Former senior scientist of Apple Enio Ohmaye visits IT-park

Chief Technology & Experience Officer of EF Education First Dr Enio Ohmaye has visited the Kazan IT-park. He was accompanied by RT Minister of education and science Albert Gilmutdinov. Guests were met by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of informatization and communications Roman Shaikhutdinov and Director of GAU “High Technology Technopark “IT-park” Dinar Nasyrov.

During the presentation Enio Ohmaye was especially interested in educational programs of IT-park since EF school is the main partner of Tatarstan in the sphere of English language teaching.

Director of the technopark told that besides regular educational seminars for residents of IT-park, Higher school of information technologies and systems opened in partnership with the Kazan Federal University last year. From the second course students undergo training at IT-park resident companies. Every year best entrants receive grants from the technopark for education at the higher educational institution.

Dr Enio Ohmaye is the chief scientist and technical director of Englishtown school. Mr Ohmaye takes an active part in development and adoption of new technologies and educational program offered by EF Englishtown. He manages researches in the sphere of educational technologies conducted in the school and has a wide international experience in management, marketing, business and software development. He developed and arranged educational software in such companies as Englishtown, UNext, Apple Computers, and Institute for the Learning Sciences (ILS). Enio Ohmaye is the author of several patents in the sphere of on-line educational technologies and additional software. He occupied posts at UNext, Cognitive Arts and Apple. Enio Ohmaye graduated from São Paulo University (Bachelor of business administration) and George Washington University (Master of informatics). He also defended dissertation in the sphere of artificial intelligence at Yale University and Northwestern University. Ohmaye speaks fluent Portuguese and English, and has knowledge of Spanish, Japanese and Chinese languages.
