Results of work of telecommunications industry for the first half of 2012 discussed at the session of RT Ministry of informatization and communications

Extended board session “On results of work of informatization and communications industry in the first half-year and setting tasks for the second half of 2012” was held in IT-park.

Deputy Prime minister – Minister of informatization and communications Roman Shaikhutdinov opened the session. First deputy Minister of informatization and communications Yuri Bagrov told about outcomes of the first half-year. He informed that for six months gross income of the industry has made 18,5 bln roubles. On-air broadcasting of TV programs in digital format DVB-T2 started in March 2012 in Kazan. Digital on-air broadcasting coverage has made 40 % of population.

Increase of IT personnel in republic seems to be one more important issue. For this purpose the Center of information technologies of the Republic of Tatarstan, OAO Tattelekom , branch of the Russian TV and radio broadcasting network, Republican radio and television transmitting center, “Tatarstan pochtasy” – branch of Russian post, and ZAO Kazgorset advanced initiative to provide scholarships for best students of the Kazan telecommunications school.

Activity on transferring state and municipal services into electronic format is underway.

Deputy Minister of informatization and communications Anisa Gainullina told that currently 115 services are available on the portal uslugi.tatarstan.ru. She also noted that with adoption of inter-departmental electronic interaction system, governmental agencies can require from citizens to provide only 19 types of personal data and documents.

“One more important area in the sphere of electronic interaction is realization of the “Open Government” concept – the information system “People’s control” which provides efficient interaction between citizens and state,” Anisa Gainullina said.
