Construction works to start at the building site of territorially detached innovative center Innopolis - Kazan

Construction works will soon be started at the building site of territorially detached innovative center “Innopolis – Kazan”. Such information was announced at a visiting meeting on issues of creating the Innopolis in the Verkhny Uslon region held by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
RF Minister of communications Nikolay Nikiforov, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, chiefs of republican ministries and agencies attended the meeting. Head of Tatarstan noted the importance of this project for republic.
Among priority tasks of the “Innopolis” project the Tatarstan President underlined construction of road infrastructure. He also gave assignment to establish a special executive office within the Main investment building department of RT that will act as the only customer of all design and construction works for the “Innopolis” project.
Attendees of the meeting discussed various legal, technological and organizational issues on creating new town. According to the presented concept, population of the Innopolis will make 155 thousand people, 60 thousand of which are employees of IT sector who will work in the town. The master-plan of the “Innopolis” developed by «RSP Architects» implies creation of an extended social infrastructure with kindergartens, schools, sport and culture objects, and comfortable houses.
RF Minister of communications Nikolay Nikiforov said that IT specialists from across Russia will be attracted to the “Innopolis”. According to the minister, a number of federal IT companies support the project and are ready to become its residents.
On December 11, Moscow hosted this year's important IT events: the awards ceremony for the winners of the "Sprint to the Future - Code of Success!" award and the Sprint 2.0 Accelerator Demo Day.
In accordance with the Procedure for providing subsidies from the budget of Tatarstan in 2025 to telecom operators to reimburse costs associated with providing mobile radiotelephone services on sections of the M-12 and M-7 highways located in Tatarstan, approved by Resolution No. 1032 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan dated 02.12.2025 (hereinafter referred to as the Procedure) and Order No. p/334 of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications dated 10.12.2025, the deadlines for submitting applications for subsidies from the budget of the republic have been established.
Digital Transformation Centre of Tatarstan reported that in 2025, Tatarstan completed a digital infrastructure upgrade, which affected server capacity, government employee workplaces, email services and video surveillance.
