Plenipotentiary of RF President in VFD Mikhail Babich acquaints with Tatarstan projects in the sphere of E-government, IT and innovations

Plenipotentiary of RF President in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich visited high technology technopark IT-park within his working visit to Kazan. He was met by Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin, chief federal inspector on RT Rustam Idrisov, Chief of UFSB of Russia on RT Alexandr Antonov, and other officials at the international airport Kazan.

Mikhail Babich acquainted with a number of projects of RT in the sphere of E-government and innovations. Vice-premier – Communications minister Nikolay Nikiforov conducted an excursion in IT-park. He told about construction of a satellite town “Innopolis” near Kazan where 150 thousand IT specialists and their families will work and live, facilities of IT-park with a special infrastructure component –Data center, one of the most high-capacity in the country.

A working meeting with participation of Farid Mukhametshin, Nikolay Nikiforov, representatives of VFD and experts on issue of best practices in adopting state services in electronic format by the example of Tatarstan was held afterwards.

Nikolay Nikiforov marked that due to high infrastructure readiness of Tatarstan (62 % of households in Tatarstan have broadband Internet), the demand for electronic state services is considerably exceeding the supply. About 1,1 mln facts of rendering state services in electronic format are monthly registered in Tatarstan. Finally, more than a half of state services are meant to be rendered in Tatarstan.

After the meeting Mikhail Babich studied the Tatarstan system of coordination of emergency services GLONASS+112 and visited Business incubator.

Later on, Director general of the RT Agency for state order, investment activity and interregional relations Yakov Geller presented a number of information systems on state order and efficient expenditure of budget funds.
