Representatives of Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications handed over 100 school bags to first-grade pupils of Verkhneuslonsky region. The ministry expresses gratitude to 14 companies for participation in the campaign “Help to get ready for school”.
On August 22, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met IBM Director General in Central and Eastern Europe Michel Charouk, who he invited to Kazan at the international economic forum in July.
IBM is interested in cooperation with Innopolis Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Also, ICL is building a new technopark in Laishevo region, and Rustam Minnikhanov suggested the company expanding its presence in Russia by using this area.
On August 22, representatives of Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications and Deputy Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Yuri Kamaltynov took part in a solemn opening of Children’s sports playground in Verkhneuslonsky region.
ICL Techno, a resident of Innopolis SEZ presented the beginning of construction of new office building in Laishevo region to Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The official ceremony took place in Usady village on the territory of ICL plant of computing technology.
On August 18, a solemn awarding ceremony of winners of international Olympiad in informatics IOI-2016 with participation of Russian Deputy Minister of Education and Science Ekaterina Tolstikova and Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov was held at Piramida cultural and entertainment center.
Prevention of law violation, assistance in crime detection, immediate visualization of places of mass gathering are the tasks set before the system “Safe city”. Development of a unified information resource that will become the centre of regional surveillance system in Tatarstan is nearly finished.
The second round of the XVIII International Olympiad in Informatics was held on August 16. The Russian team was second by the number of scores, among the leaders are also China (first place), and Iran (third place).
On August 17, at Tatarstan Government House, CEO of “VympelKom” (telecommunication company) (PAO) Mikhail Slobodin and Rustam Minnikhanov discussed issues of cooperation in further development of telecommunications and other relevant issues.
Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan- Minister of Information and Communications of the republic Roman Shaikhutdinov, Aide to Tatarstan President Albert Nafigin, CEO of “Tattelecom” (PAO) Lutfulla Shafigullin took part in this meeting.
On August 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov, Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov, rectors of leading Russian and Tatarstan universities took part in a meeting with young teachers during the forum “Professional development and career of teachers” at Innopolis.
Due to increasing number of applications for state-funded educational programmes of secondary professional education, Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications has extended the enrolment period for a degree in “Postal communication” at Kazan technical school of information technologies and communication until 26.08.2016.
