Tele2, the Russian mobile operator, voiced the results of technical development according to the results of 2023.

The operator provided access to mobile services to residents of 55 settlements, in many of them mobile communications appeared for the first time. In addition, the company updated 15 per cent of the current infrastructure, which made it possible to increase the Internet speed by an average of 15 per cent.

On February 21, the Kazan TV Tower of the branch of the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network will turn on the architectural and artistic lighting in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day.

Festive lighting will run from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Thematic lighting will also be held on the towers in other cities of Russia.

For the first time residents of the settlements of the Arsk region gained access to a stable mobile signal and fast data transmission from MegaFon. The operator launched the LTE network in the villages of Srednyaya Serda, Tashkichu, Nalasa, and Staroye Churilino.

MTS, a digital ecosystem, with the help of the hotel booking service MTS Travel analyzed where Russians will go to rest for a long weekend from 23 to 25 February. Moscow moved Saint Petersburg, the leader of the same rating last year, to second place, and Kazan retained its position and again became the third in the top destinations for holidays.

On February 19, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin signed a decree appointing Bulat Gabdrakhmanov to the post of a new Deputy Minister of Digitalization of Tatarstan, who earlier worked as the Head of the Department of Digital Transformation in Culture, Education and Youth Policy in the Digital Transformation Centre of Tatarstan.

From February 21 to March 3, the Kazan TV tower will turn on a thematic scenario of architectural and artistic lighting dedicated to the holding of the first international multi-sport tournament in the phygital concept “Games of the Future 2024” in Kazan. The colorful dynamic light show will be observed from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

On February 15, Mamadysh municipal region of the republic hosted the opening of the training programme of IT specialties on the basis of IT park branch sites. The programme is aimed at developing IT entrepreneurship in municipal areas for the national project Digital Economy of the Russian Federation, initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

On February 15, under the bus marathon “Tatarstan – the republic of Achievements”, the House of Culture in Leninogorsk hosted the panel discussion moderated by the journalist, presenter of State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company "Tatarstan" Dmitry Vtorov, where Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications Ayrat Khayrullin, Head of Leninogorsk municipal region Ryagat Khusainov were the speakers. A photo exhibition about the main achievements of Tatarstan was organized in the foyer of the House of Culture.

On February 6, the Bashir Rameev IT Park hosted an extended meeting of working group No. 15 held under the leadership of People’s Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, a member of the State Duma Committee for the Protection of Competition Aydar Raisovich Metshin, which discussed the work plans for 2024 under the working group’s activities, including for the purposes of the national project “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”.
