On January 28, at an extended meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in state awards to distinguished employees of the industry.

In 2020, in Tatarstan, the Post processed over 6.7 million postal items, which is 18 per cent more than last year. The biggest workload was in November-December. In the pre-New Year season, Tatarstan postal staff received and sent over 715,000 items per month, while in the non-holiday months, about 550,000 items were received.

Russian Ministry of Digital Development summed up the results of the connection of socially significant facilities to the Internet in 2020.

Most of the connections, namely about 8,900 were made to medical and obstetric centres. About 8,400 educational institutions and about 3,900 State and local authorities were also connected.

International Competence Centre – the Kazan Technical College of Information Technologies and Communications starts submitting of applications for a free course "Cyberhygiene and work with big data" in the children's creativity centre "IT-Cube". The Russian Foundation for Information Technology Development (RFRIT), one of the operators of support measures under the national project «Digital Economy», summed up the results of the contest for grants for the implementation of domestic digital solutions. Three IT companies from Tatarstan are among the winners of 2020.

Innopolis University launched a 24-hour free course on artificial intelligence “AI from scratch” under the educational project “Artificial Intelligence: A Quick Start from Scratch”.
