Contest “Clear sky of cities” has started in Kazan

Deputy Premier – Minister of info and communications Nikolai Nikiforov informed in his microblog about starting of a contest “Clear sky of cities” (tag in Twitter #KazanSky).
One who will publish in Twitter a Kazan house mostly winded with hanging cables will receive “Sony” camera with GPS. According to terms of the contest a picture of house should be taken so that it will be possible to count the number of cables noting the address and number of cables. The contest will last for 10 days, picture will be chosen by joint voting.
One may send pictures to e-mail os@tatar.ru, they will и published in Twitter as well. Currently there are 2253 km of hanging communication lines in 20 Tatarstan cities.
By the end of 2011 big cities of Tatarstan Republic should be relieved from unauthorized hanging communication lines. In accordance with RT Government Edict more than 1,8 thousand km of cables in Kazan, Zelenodolsk, Chistopol, Elabuga, Nizhnekamsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Almetievsk, Leninogorsk and Bugulma should be changed to underground lines.

The Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov approved the decision of Tatarstan government to allocate 55.3 million roubles from the regional budget to support 2,300 employees of rural postal offices in 2026.

Since September 2024, Tatarstan residents could receive rewards through the "People’s Inspector" app for reporting traffic violations. During this period, over 12,000 reports were submitted across seven paid categories, earning citizens a total of 5.6 million roubles. The top earner was a resident of the republic who submitted 226 reports and received 275,000 roubles. The second-highest earner earned 260,800 roubles for 209 reports.
