Chief of Federal agency for communications Valery Bugaenko aged 61 passed away at night on June, 29, Federal agency for communications informed.

V.N.Bugaenko devoted all his life to servicing his Motherland. From 1968 to 1999 he passed military service in Armed Forces and had military rank lieutenant-general. From 2000 – state civil service of Russian Federation: 2000-2004 – Deputy head and Head of Department for supervision in the sphere of communications and informatization at RF Ministry for communications and informatization; from 2004 - Chief of Federal service for supervision in the sphere of communications; from 2007 - Chief of Federal agency for communications. Acting state counselor of Russian Federation of the 3d class.

A major reform of the state supervision system in the sphere of information technologies, development of electric and post communication networks in RF, measures on deployment and support of communications networks for the benefit of peace-keeping forces on the territory of South Ossetia, creation of modern telecommunications infrastructure within the limits of federal targeted programs and Olympic construction were conducted under his guidance.

Valery Bugaenko was granted with Order of Honour and other state and departmental awards. The staff of RT Ministry of informatization and communications present condolences to relatives of valery Nikolaevich Bugaenko.
