Roman Shaikhutdinov takes part in opening of Cisco Innovation Centre

On October 7, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Global Head of Transformational Strategy Matthew Smith at Cisco Systems, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov, rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov, and Director of Higher School of Information Technologies and Information Systems Airat Khasyanov took part in the opening of the Cisco Innovation Centre at Higher School of Information Technologies and Information Systems of Kazan Federal University.
The Cisco centre at Kazan Federal University is the first project in Russia meant for realizing research projects for business and government, development of import-substituting technologies and services involving university staff, graduate students, students, representatives of the real sector of the economy of Tatarstan.
Within the framework of the event, a "smart bus" project, a new development of Kazan IT-specialists, was presented to Rustam Minnikhanov. A city bus is equipped with high speed internet access and video cameras to monitor the traffic. As a result, the bus cameras can independently record various traffic violations and send information to the traffic police servers.

The International Competence Centre – the Kazan Technical College of Information Technologies and Communications invites graduates, their parents and all interested individuals to the Open Day event.

The Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov approved the decision of Tatarstan government to allocate 55.3 million roubles from the regional budget to support 2,300 employees of rural postal offices in 2026.
A new practice tool for preparing for the USE has been launched on the State Services Portal (Gosuslugi)l. It allows students to reinforce their knowledge and practice solving typical exam tasks.
Since September 2024, Tatarstan residents could receive rewards through the "People’s Inspector" app for reporting traffic violations. During this period, over 12,000 reports were submitted across seven paid categories, earning citizens a total of 5.6 million roubles. The top earner was a resident of the republic who submitted 226 reports and received 275,000 roubles. The second-highest earner earned 260,800 roubles for 209 reports.
