The purpose of Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communication is to bring the share of the industry in GRP to 5 per cent

On February 6 at a briefing witin the framework of Russian Startup Tour Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov said: “Our purpose is to bring the share of the industry in GRP to 5 per cent.” Currently the share of information and communication industry makes 3.15 per cent.
In 2013 gross income of the industry made 46.6 bln rubles, the share of information technologies - 19.6 bln rubles. The Minister added that another task is to accumulate up to 30 per cent of IT sector in Tatarstan. He noted that this result can be achieved due to implementation of Innopolis project.

In accordance with the Procedure for providing subsidies from the budget of Tatarstan in 2025 to telecom operators to reimburse costs associated with providing mobile radiotelephone services on sections of the M-12 and M-7 highways located in Tatarstan, approved by Resolution No. 1032 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan dated 02.12.2025 (hereinafter referred to as the Procedure) and Order No. p/334 of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications dated 10.12.2025, the deadlines for submitting applications for subsidies from the budget of the republic have been established.
Digital Transformation Centre of Tatarstan reported that in 2025, Tatarstan completed a digital infrastructure upgrade, which affected server capacity, government employee workplaces, email services and video surveillance.
