Nikolay Nikiforov opens second day of Olympic Torch Relay in Tatarstan

The Olympic Torch arrived in Kazan on December 30. It was then brought to Bolgar and Sviyazhsk. On December 31 Russian Minister of Communication and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov was the first torch bearer at Universiade Village.
Addressing the audience, he said he was proud to carry the Olympic Torch in Kazan. Nikolay Nikiforov also noted that all international sport events are important for Tatarstan and Russia. “However, it is also a great responsibility, because it imposes high requirements on development of informational support at regional and federal level. I am glad we cope with the most complicated tasks,” he said.
Russian Minister of Communication and Mass Media was among famous sportsmen, businessmen, and public figures to carry the Olympic Torch.

Students at Gymnasium No. 75 in Kazan took part in an educational session under the "Digital Literacy" project, focusing on topics such as "Pet Protection in the Digital World" and "Harmful tips on Digital Security", which is implemented in support of the national project “Data Economy”.
