Oleg Saveliev and Rustam Minnikhanov discuss Innopolis development at Kazan IT park

A meeting on implementation of projects Special Economic Zone “Innopolis”, ANO “Innopolis University”, special economic zone “Alabuga”, and Sviyazhsk interregional multi-modal logistics centre was held by Deputy Minister of economic development Oleg Saveliev and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
Special emphasis was put on Innopolis, as one of major regional and federal projects.
Director General of special economic zone “Innopolis” Igor Nosov made report on the project implementation. He noted that though Russia is in top 10 global IT leaders, it still does not have its own IT capital.
According to Igor Nosov, Innopolis can surely become an IT centre of Russia. He said that development rates go ahead the plan stipulated by the Agreement on establishment of special economic zone “Innopolis”.
Active work on attracting future residents is carried out already.

About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.
To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.
The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.
Mobile Telecommunication Systems Company reported on its activities in Tatarstan for the year 2025 during a weekly meeting at Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization.
Director of the MTS branch in Tatarstan Marat Kabanov outlined key areas of work in 2025 and the achieved results.
On March 27, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvyn held a meeting with Director General of "Info-Obereg" Vladimir Dorofeev.
Such meetings between the minister and representatives of the IT community are held on Fridays in an open dialogue format. These personal meetings provide an opportunity for companies to share their experiences, discuss their projects and seek support.
