Russian Ministry of Communication and Mass Media finishes receiving applications for subsidies for creation of information society

On December 30, at 11 a.m. Russian Ministry of Communication and Mass Media finishes receiving applications for subsidies for creation of information society in Russian regions. After processing the applications, results will be announced on January 24, 2014.
The contest if held in accordance with the state programme “Information society (2011–2020)” and Decree of Russian Government dated June, 6, 2012 № 560.
1.3 bln rubles will be allocated in 2014 for funding regional projects aimed at implementation of two priority areas determined by the Order of Russian Ministry of Communication and Mass Media dated August 19, 2013 № 215. The first area is aimed at increasing the quality of state and municipal services on the basis of one-stop principle and implementation of automated information system. The second area is providing an opportunity to use state and municipal services online.
The subsidies are granted under the terms of regional budget co-funding.
Using materials of Russian Ministry of Communication and Mass Media
About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.
To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.
The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.
Mobile Telecommunication Systems Company reported on its activities in Tatarstan for the year 2025 during a weekly meeting at Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization.
Director of the MTS branch in Tatarstan Marat Kabanov outlined key areas of work in 2025 and the achieved results.
On March 27, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvyn held a meeting with Director General of "Info-Obereg" Vladimir Dorofeev.
Such meetings between the minister and representatives of the IT community are held on Fridays in an open dialogue format. These personal meetings provide an opportunity for companies to share their experiences, discuss their projects and seek support.
