School students in Tatarstan use exam preparation websites more frequently than last year

High-school students of Tatarstan began to prepare more actively for state exams than schoolchildren a year earlier.

According to MegaFon, mobile traffic to test-solving websites grew by 12% in the first quarter of 2026.

Online resources have become an essential tool for preparing for the Main State Exam and Unified State Examination. They provide students with access to study materials, tips for completing tasks and educational videos. Schoolchildren use these platforms to master complex topics, self-educate and monitor their progress.

"Today, the pace of digitalization is driven by young people. Over the past year, traffic among subscribers aged 15–25 has increased by 25% — higher than in other age groups," Director of MegaFon in Tatarstan Valery Borunov said.

Interest among school students in exam preparation resources in Tatarstan surged from the very first weeks of the year. In January, there was a 14% increase compared to the beginning of the previous year. The highest activity occurs on Mondays and Tuesdays, accounting for over 35% of the weekly internet traffic.

Websites that help select a university and specialty based on exam scores, as well as those posting exam dates, became particularly popular among graduates. The top three such resources in Tatarstan were "Vuzopedia," the Federal Institute for Educational Measurements platform, and "4EGE."

This year, students in the republic have also begun using online platforms that incorporate AI support, including services tailored for self-study. The share of users aged 14–17 engaging with these AI-supported resources reached 4%. Males slightly more frequently used AI-based services, accounting for 56% of such users.
