Tatarstan delegation gets acquainted with the breakthrough IT solutions in Hefei

During the working visit to China, Tatarstan delegation led by the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Deputy Minister of Digitalization Bulat Gabdrakhmanov visited the city of Hefei in Anhui Province.

Hefei is located about 900 km south of Beijing and is a major scientific and industrial center in China.

The delegation got acquainted with the experience of leading global companies and new advanced technologies, including innovative developments in artificial intelligence. These solutions significantly reduce and automate workflows across various areas of life.

On March 17, the Anhui Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade hosted a round table titled “Tatarstan – Anhui” with participation of government and business representatives. The parties discussed prospects for expanding trade, economic and technological cooperation.

Representatives of Tatarstan also visited the Anhui Lingdong General Robot Technology laboratory, where the latest developments in robotics were presented, as well as the YouiBot company, specializing in AI technologies.

On March 18, the delegation visited iFlytek, the largest company in AI development.

Tatarstan representatives got acquainted with:

An online translator with voice recognition technology.
The device supports 80 languages in its settings and can simultaneously translate the speaker’s voice into an earpiece.

A system for checking educational materials.
This solution can verify student tests based on previously uploaded educational content.

The company also showcased virtual assistants for drivers, virtual medical assistants, call center automation systems, automatic transcription of business negotiations and smart video conferencing.

Both sides expressed interest in developing joint projects and implementing AI solutions in Tatarstan and Russia. Rustam Minnikhanov instructed the Ministry of Digitalization of the republic to establish an industry-specific working group and to visit iFlytek for experience exchange and studying advanced technologies.

On March 19, Bulat Gabdrakhmanov visited the Grand Union of Innovation, an innovation cluster that unites scientific centers, startups and industrial partners. The ecosystem specializes in developing high technologies including IT, biomedicine, energy, and smart manufacturing solutions. The parties discussed possibilities for launching joint acceleration programs, startup exchange and technology piloting. Meetings were also held with cluster residents, including companies in digital twins, industrial AI and computational technologies.

The working visit helped strengthen relations between Tatarstan and Anhui Province and resulted in agreements to work on joint breakthrough projects. The delegation also exchanged experience with leading Chinese IT companies and studied best practices already successfully implemented in the country.
