Russian Ministry of Communication and Mass Media offers reducing profit tax for IT companies in Tatarstan

On December 11 Russian Deputy Minister of Communication and Mass Media Mark Shmulevich told that the Ministry of Communication and Mass Media and Ministry of Finance had agreed on introducing reduced insurance fees for IT companies.
Insurance fees paid to state non-budget funds for IT companies with the staff from 7 people will be reduced from 30 to 14 per cent. These benefits will be in force till 2019.
Besides, the ministry suggests reducing profit tax for IT companies in order to avoid split-up of large companies into small ones.
Currently, the ministry is implementing pilot projects in several regions on reducing tax rates at the expense of regional part of the profit tax.
On December 11, Moscow hosted this year's important IT events: the awards ceremony for the winners of the "Sprint to the Future - Code of Success!" award and the Sprint 2.0 Accelerator Demo Day.
In accordance with the Procedure for providing subsidies from the budget of Tatarstan in 2025 to telecom operators to reimburse costs associated with providing mobile radiotelephone services on sections of the M-12 and M-7 highways located in Tatarstan, approved by Resolution No. 1032 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan dated 02.12.2025 (hereinafter referred to as the Procedure) and Order No. p/334 of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications dated 10.12.2025, the deadlines for submitting applications for subsidies from the budget of the republic have been established.
Digital Transformation Centre of Tatarstan reported that in 2025, Tatarstan completed a digital infrastructure upgrade, which affected server capacity, government employee workplaces, email services and video surveillance.
