IT centre of breakthrough research to be created at Innopolis University

Innopolis University is among 19 finalists of the contest of Russian Ministry of Communication and Mass Media and Ministry of Education and Science aimed at selecting organisations to create IT centres of breakthrough research. One of such centres may be created at Kazan federal university. Results of the contest are available on the website of Russian Ministry of Communication and Mass Media.
Research programmes of winners involve a wide range of areas, including bio informatics, big data analysis, robotics, quantum and optical technologies, human interface devices.
Winners will get support in creating IT centres of breakthrough research.

On March 30, the Bashir Rameev IT park hosted a bright event — the final stage of the selection for the International Robotics Festival "RoboFinist-2025". More than 200 young roboticists from 9 regions of the country showed their talents and technical skills.
Tatmedia Regional Publishing and Mass Communications Agency hosted a press conference dedicated to the open tournament of Tatarstan on information security "GO CTF 2025" aimed at developing IT and cybersecurity skills in schoolchildren and students. Participation in the tournament gives young professionals the opportunity to show their knowledge and earn well-deserved awards.
Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ayrat Khayrullin held a meeting with representatives of the IT community of the region, which brought together more than 500 participants. The event started with an exhibition of startup innovations, demonstrating the latest achievements of digital teams and opportunities for cooperation with entrepreneurs.
High-speed Internet at the Kazan Zoo
MTS Telecommunication Company has upgraded the telecom equipment near the Kazan Zoo-Botanical Garden. Now visitors and employees can use high-speed mobile Internet both in the historical part of the zoo and in the new territory "Zambezi River. Africa" with an area of 7 hectares.
