On November 20, first-year students of the Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems of the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University were awarded grants for their training due to the regional project "Personnel for the Digital Economy" under the national project "Digital Economy".
Deputy Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications of Tatarstan Bulat Gabdrakhmanov, First Vice-Rector - Vice-Rector for Scientific Activities of Kazan Federal University Dmitry Tayursky and Director of the Higher School of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) Mikhail Abramsky took part in the ceremony. The Deputy Minister congratulated the grant recipients and wished them success in their studies. Bulat Gabdrakhmanov also emphasized that first-year students are only at the beginning of their journey and a great and interesting road to the world of studying information technology opens up before them.
Every year, ITIS students receive grants from the Government of Tatarstan for training in information technology.
The goals of allocating grants are:
• attracting the best applicants from all over Russia and the CIS countries to the Republic of Tatarstan;
• motivating students to achieve good academic performance (the grant is allocated for one year);
• retaining the best graduates in the republic.
