Additional TV infrastructure deployed in Kazan settlements

The new equipment has increased LTE coverage area and mobile internet speed to 30 percent for residents of private houses located within the capital city. MegaFon Telecommunication Company carried out work on the improvement of the network in the residential areas of the Sovetsky and Privolzhsky districts of the city. Improvements affected the villages of My Tsaritsyno, Zhivopisny, Izumrudnaya Dolina, Altan, Plodopitomnik. Data-heavy content is now loaded faster, even if there are a large number of users connected to the network at the same time. After the installation of new base stations, local residents have consumed 25 percent more data traffic daily. As a result of the work, the average loading speed in residential areas is 20 Mbit/ s, the maximum reaches 100 Mbit/ s. This is enough to download a five-gigabyte movie in seven minutes, communicate via video link without delays, study or work remotely.
